Is This POSSIBLE? Civilian JTF Promises To Fight Boko Haram In Mubi

The youth vigilante group, better known as Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) concerned by the fresh attacks of the Boko Haram group on towns and villages in Adamawa State, promised to beat off attacks by the terrorists.

The Adamawa State Coordinator of the youth vigilante group, Bako Goni expressed their readiness to take the fight against terror to the refuges of the Boko Haram.

Bako Goni said he and his associates were not scared of death.

“Every soul must taste death and therefore we are not afraid,” Mr. Goni said.

The coordinator said his group is optimistic that with their branches (Gora in Hausa) and other local arms, they will flush out the terrorists from their hideaways if the Federal Government gave them permission. He said if more people in the state could join the civilian JTF, they would lay an end to the terrorism which began five years ago.

Goni pleaded helpers to respect the law while clearing their public tasks. He tempted to those eager to help and partake to always follow the orders of the army and other security agencies while honouring their responsibilities.

The Adamawa State Coordinator of the organization underlines the need for people in the state to set up their own Civilian JTF to challenge the threat of the insurgents.

He said, “I want to thank the few boys and girls that sacrificed their lives and the effort they are collectively and voluntarily making in order to fight Boko Haram who are bent in not only destroying our social and economic structures, but also killing innocent lives of our citizenry.”

Boko Haram has already captured four local government areas in the state including Madagali, Michika, Mubi North and Mubi South, though some towns, including Maiha, Hong, and Gombi have become marks of attack by the insurgents in recent times with many citizens killed and several thousands of people evacuated.
